Village Education Project (Kilimanjaro)
The Village Education Project (Kilimanjaro) was set up in 1994 to improve the educational and employment prospects of young people in the Kilimanjaro region. Since April 2005, it has embarked on a Whole School Development programme (WSD) which will focus on three elements; support for head teachers and teachers; subject support and; teaching skills. Fairtrade Foundation
Fairtrade addresses the injustices of conventional trade in the third world, which has a long history of discrimination against the most underprivileged, poor and weakest produce manufacturers. The Fairtrade Foundation campaigns to champion better working conditions and regulations to improve local sustainability and fair terms for the farming industry in the developing world.
