Fee Information

Fees indicated are based on the current year (August 2016 to July 2017) and are subject to change next year.

Our further education courses (Entry to Level 3) are usually free if you are 16-18 years old. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support to help with other costs associated with your course such as course materials and travel.

If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees.

If you are enrolling onto a Level 3 or 4 course and are over 19 years of age the fees may be higher and you will be required to take out an Advanced Learning Loan, please see the guide to fees for more information.

International students will be required to pay the full International course fee.

This advanced apprenticeship will support you to develop your career further as a Beauty Therapist working in the health and wellbeing industry.

This qualification is based on the national occupational standards for Beauty Therapy and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a Beauty Therapist. Units included in this qualification are:

  • Provide body massage treatments;
  • Provide Indian head massage;
  • Carry out massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils;
  • Provide stone therapy treatments;
  • Monitor procedures to safely control work operations;
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities.

Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology and health and safety. They will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to advise and consult with clients to provide holistic and advanced technical beauty therapy services and further develop their communication and customer service skills.

In addition to completing mandatory units, learners are required to achieve seven credits from optional units which includes:

  • Provide facial electrical treatments;
  • Provide body electrical treatments.
Entry Requirements

You will need to have a minimum of a Level 1 qualification in English and Maths and a preferably a Level 2 qualification in beauty therapy.

Assessment Method

This qualification will be assessed through exams and in work assessment.

Study Methods

This apprenticeship will be delivered through classroom session, one day each week during term time. Apprentices will be expected to self-study outside of the classroom and their working hours.
