Fee Information

Fees indicated are based on the current year (August 2016 to July 2017) and are subject to change next year.

Our further education courses (Entry to Level 3) are usually free if you are 16-18 years old. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support to help with other costs associated with your course such as course materials and travel.

If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees.

If you are enrolling onto a Level 3 or 4 course and are over 19 years of age the fees may be higher and you will be required to take out an Advanced Learning Loan, please see the guide to fees for more information.

International students will be required to pay the full International course fee.

This course will introduce you to the world of business and travel. You will study a wide range of units and topics which will help you to develop the knowledge and skills you need to work in the world of travel and business.

For those on a study programme (16-18 years old) you will also study English, maths and complete at least 5 days of work experience as well as take part in enrichment opportunities.

For those NOT on a study programme (adults) alongside this course you will also study English, maths and ICT.

Entry Requirements

You will need a good level of English i.e at least at Entry Level 3. You may also have some GCSEs with lower grades. You will complete an assessment prior to enrolment.

Progression Opportunities

With the right level of English and maths, attendance, etc, you can progress onto either a Level 2 Diploma in Business or Level 2 Diploma in Travel in the first instance. Alternatively, you may consider an alternative level 2 e.g. IT, Public Services, Health & Social Care etc.

For those wishing to go into employment, this qualification will give you the basic skills you will need to work in an entry level job in administration, customer service and travel assistant.

Study Methods

You will be taught by qualified teachers in dedicated classrooms using IT based equipment. Learners are also exposed to business and travel organisations through external visits, guest speakers and attending business exhibitions where appropriate.

You will be required to attend college at least 3 days a week.
