When can I enrol?

If you have applied and been offered a place to start in September, you will receive a letter inviting you to complete enrolment on a specific date and time between 19-25 August. It is important that you attend this appointment to secure your place!

If you haven’t already applied, come along to main enrolment where you can discuss your options with a course tutor.

How does enrolment work?

What do I need to bring to enrolment?

Click on our enrolment check list to ensure that you are fully prepared. Enrolment cannot be completed without the necessary documents.

• Beginner, GCSE or A Level - French and Spanish

  GCSE Spanish or French
  You must have recently attended and successfully completed a Beginner's course in that language (evidence required please).

  A Level Spanish or French
  You need to have achieved at least a grade A or above at GCSE or equivalent (evidence required please). If your grade was lower than an A please come along from 4pm – 6.30pm on either 26, 31August or 1, 2 September as you will need to speak to a language specialist to ensure you are enrolled onto the correct level.

  Beginner courses
  Please come in during any of the enrolment sessions to enrol.

  If you wish to study any of the language courses but have not got the entry requirement or are not sure which level you are, please come to one of the 4pm -6.30 sessions above.

• Access Courses
  

  You will sit an entry assessment in English and Maths prior to an interview/enrolment.  Please see below for assessment times.

   

  Asssesments

   

  Please bring photo identification to the assessment e.g. student pass, driving licence, or passport.  You will also need to bring evidence of what you have been doing over the past 2 years.

  Please allow up to 3 hours for your assessment, interview and enrolment.

   

  Assessments dates and times for courses at Hammersmith

  Thursday 26 August, Tuesday 31 August or Thursday 2 September	10am ,1.30pm or 4pm
  Friday 27 August, Wednesday 1 September	10am or 1.30pm
  Friday 3 September	10am

   

  Assessments details for Access courses at Southall

   

  Assessments are held throughout the open enrolment times but please ensure you arrive at least 2 hours before the enrolment closing time.

   

• Art
  

  A portfolio of your work

  This should include examples of a range of media and projects, as well as examples of observational (drawings of real life objects) and expressive drawings (drawings that show emotion).

• A level Science or A level Maths (evening)

  Sciences
  You will sit a 40 minute assessment during the open enrolment times. The last assessment is at 5.30pm.

  Maths
  The assessment is for 1 hour. The last assessment is 5pm assessments on 4 September finish at 12 noon.
  

• ESOl/ EFL Courses

  You will need to book an enrolment appointment. Contact the College Information Centre or visit Acton, Ealing or Southall campus from week commencing 2 August 2010.

  (To enrol on this course you must visit the campus you wish to study at)

• Health Care & Early Years

  All Students for these courses must obtain an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Check. Your form must be bought to enrolment as proof of application. You will at least need to have started this process before you enrol.

• Graphic Design

  Please bring a portfolio of your GCSE art work (preferably) or include a number of sketches of observational drawings from life i.e. still life’s, portraits, views from rooms etc.  These must be done with pencil, tone or mixed media.

  No copied work, no Manga and no computerised work please.

• 1st Diploma Media

  Please bring a sample of your written work.

• Interactive Media

  A portfolio of your art work is needed. This must include examples of drawings that you have drawn from life as opposed to copied from photographs.

• Performing Arts

  You will need to take part in an audition before your interview. For more information to help with your preparation and audition times please contact:

• Photography

  Please bring examples of your own photography.

 

Reference Form

If you are aged between 16-19, or are applying for a Health, Care and Early Years or an Access to Nursing course, you will need to complete a reference form. Download a reference form
