Central Admissions
Central Admissions (CA) are based in the College Information Centre at Hammersmith and operate their services all year round. You can contact them in regard to the application progress or your interview by telephone: 020 7565 1234 or email: admissions@wlc.ac.uk
CA process application forms for all our college sites.
Once they have received your fully completed application form, they will write to you with information on your interview appointment. Our tutors carry out all interviews and they have to take time out from teaching to do this, so please ensure you attend your interview. CA will send you a reminder text message a day or so before. If it's impossible to attend on the date we have given you, please get in touch with Central Admissions as quickly as possible so your appointment slot can be allocated to another candidate and they can arrange another appointment for you.
You maybe asked to take an assessment either before your interview day or just before your interview. This is nothing to worry about, it just helps both you and the interviewer ensure that you choose the right course for you.
Our aim is to offer you a place on a suitable course within one month of receiving your application form for courses starting in September. You will be handed your offer letter at your interview offering you a conditional or unconditional place. The conditions that you have to meet will be included in your letter. If the course is not right for you, the interviewer will offer you alternatives or refer you a course adviser. If an adviser is not available at the time of your interview, one will contact you to discuss your options.
During July, Central Admissions will write to you with a date for you to come in to complete enrolment. With your letter will be our Enrolment Booklet which includes what you must bring in to complete your enrolment, instructions on visiting the cashiers desk (even if you are a non fee payer) and finally how to collect your College entry card. Enrolment is a busy time, so please make sure you read the booklet thoroughly as it includes lots of useful information to make your enrolment as quick and easy as possible.
If you don’t meet the conditions of your offer when you come to enrol, don’t worry. We can normally offer you an alternative so please still come in on the date on your enrolment letter.
For course starting in September, we urge you to apply as early as possible as we start interviewing from the previous November. If you have not applied by the end of June, then just come along during our main open enrolment dates, but as early as possible as some of our more popular courses fill up quickly.
We look forward to welcoming you as a student.
