Travel, Leisure & Tourism
The travel and tourism industry is an exciting and fast-growing area that accounts for over
2.1 million jobs throughout the UK with London being indicated as one of the key areas of
growth for this industry. The College is ideally situated and is within close distance to Heathrow,
Europe’s largest airport.
We offer a wide range of full and part-time courses with access to up-to-date technology and
resources and our staff are industry-trained. Workplace training has a high prominence on our
programmes and most courses include a period of work experience. Recent examples of
companies that our students have completed work experience with include: Thomson Holidays,
Haymarket Hotel, Holiday Inn and Thomas Cook. Many of these placements have also resulted in
full-time employment. We also work in partnership with Beijing Changping Vocational School -
one of the top schools for aviation services and tourism in China. Our courses also include trips
and visits to Travel & Tourism organisations.
Career opportunities include: Airport Customer Services Agent, Brochure Production Assistant,
Cruise Ship Purser, Flight Attendant, Hotel Receptionist, Overseas Holiday Representative,
Reservation Staff, Travel Agency Consultant and Tourism Marketing Assistant.
