On Thursday 18 August, our A level students who studied at the Ealing Green College site were celebrating another set of excellent results, once again an improvement on the previous year’s results. The College Gardens were full of excited students, enjoying the sunshine, ready to celebrate their achievements after months of hard work.

Ealing Green Principal, April Carrol, said: ”We are delighted with the success of our students and there have been some exceptional results. Many students had top grades across the board and are now progressing to university. A pass rate of over 89.4% and a top grades (A*-B) rate of 30.3% is something to be celebrated. Students and staff have worked incredibly hard over the past year and we are really proud of our students’ results.

“Our A level students now leave us for the next exciting chapter in their lives and we wish them well. I would like to once again thank all of the staff for going the extra mile with the students, and the parents and carers for their continued support.”

Seven subjects achieved 100% pass rates: Art and Design, Business Studies, Economics, English Language, English Literature, Government and Politics, History and Media Studies.

Everyone is so helpful, my practical lab skills were poor before, but now they get top marks – 60/60!”

Sam McGonigal, 19, who came to the college from Drayton Manor High School achieved an A and two Bs in Photography, Sociology and Maths. Sam says: “I am really pleased with my results; they mean I can study History and Politics at Manchester University”.

Samantha Larka, 20, was clearly delighted with her A* in Sociology, B in Business and C in Psychology. These results will enable her to take up her place at Leeds University to study Business Management and Marketing. Samantha said she was “Pleased with the support the college gave me”.

Garry Phillips, Chief Executive of West London’s College said: “It is a proud moment to see the students achieve what they have and we wish them all the very best for the future.”
