Project Search, Ealing, Hammersmith and West London's College collaboration with Hilton London Heathrow Terminal 5 and Remploy has won the Caterer.com People Award for Best Emerging Talent Initiative, beating The Rezidor Hotel Group, The Dorchester, QHotels and Hilton Worldwide Enterprise.

Project Search is a collaborative initiative between Hilton Hotel T5, Ealing Borough Council, Mencap and Ealing Hammersmith and West London’s College which prepares young people with special educational needs for competitive employment. We currently have 10 interns placed at Hilton Hotel Terminal 5, with 100% completing the course and 70% gaining paid employment.

The award - hosted in central London and presented by Actor Steven Mangan - are a wonderful acknowledgement of the work put in by our Inclusive Learners and staff.

The award citation from Caterer.com had this to say about the learners involved:
“They have demonstrated a commitment to Heathrow’s community, and provided a new talent pool for local hospitality employers. They have displayed integrity and an ethically sound programme and are deserving winners of this award.”

Ealing, Hammersmith and West London’s College run a range of Inclusive Learning courses at Southall Community College and Hammersmith and Fulham college. We use resources that are bespoke, relevant and allow students to experience and develop skills, knowledge and attitudes that can be used throughout life.
