This week West London College ended the academic year by celebrating our students’ hard work and high achievement at the Celebration of Success Awards 2018.
A total of 59 students across a range of subjects were nominated for awards in achievement, work ethic and overcoming adversity by their teachers and curriculum managers. The ceremony saw proud students receive a certificate from Janet Gardner, West London College Principal, to commemorate their accomplishments, with their closest friends and family, along with their teachers cheering them on from the audience.
Janet said: “This ceremony is one of my favourites from the college calendar because it is where we come to recognise and celebrate the students’ achievements and hard work. When they started with us, they became a member of the West London College family and, as such, that meant that every single one of their aspirations was in our hands. That is something that all the staff here take really seriously because our role is to be here to support them in so many different ways. We are really really proud to be part of that journey.”
Dean Vaughan, Director of Curriculum, said: “Our students are the most important thing to us. For many colleagues, it has been impossible to choose just one student but we are here tonight to celebrate everyone’s accomplishments. It is also a fantastic opportunity to thank you as parents and guardians for all you do.”
