All sixty Key Stage 4 students at West London College were thrilled to achieve their Bronze Arts Award. The Arts Award moderator inspected their work at Southall Community College, where Key Stage 4 is based, on 14 June 2023, and was very positive about what she found.
In her feedback, the moderator said in one comment: “This was a wonderful cohort of Arts Award Bronze to moderate. Portfolios were well presented and beautifully decorated – the young people have clearly worked hard and have also been well-supported through excellent delivery.”
Aaron praised his teachers for helping him to learn, “the teachers are very friendly”, he said.
Markson was very happy with the year he had spent at the college, which helped him to achieve. “We had fun,” he said.
The students’ teacher Harpal Rehill said: “Offering the Arts Award alongside other qualifications allows our students to explore their creative potential. We’ve also had Enrichment trips to The Questors Theatre so that the students can experience acting too.”
West London College offers Year 11 Key Stage 4 education to suit the level of study for each student. As well as their Bronze Arts Award, some KS4 students study English and Maths and others study GCSEs in English, Maths, Combined Science, Religious Studies and Sociology.
