Harry Galgey is currently on a Level 2 Plumbing Apprenticeship at Park Royal College

Why did you get into your chosen course?

I was interested in plumbing and was lucky to find Woodford Heating and Energy, during my trial I was able to show I am keen and dedicated to learning the trade, the employer was impressed with my performance and I’m now one of their apprentices. By choosing to do a plumbing apprenticeship, it gives me real work experience and the opportunity to put the theory I've learnt into practice. It also keeps me motivated to achieve my professional goals.

Why is studying your course important to you?

Studying my course is important to me because it motivates me to work harder and gives me the knowledge and skills required to succeed in my career.

How has the course helped you develop?

My course has helped me develop on a personal and professional level. During my time at Park Royal College, I met many inspiring people and made lifelong friendships. With the support of my teachers, I built on my interpersonal and teamwork skills and I got to grips to what is like to work in the construction industry.

What was your favourite moment at college?

My favourite moment at West London College was passing my exams, it really was a thrill.

What have you got planned next?

When I complete my apprenticeship I want to progress to a supervisor or site manager role.
