“Being a single parent, I felt doors were closed for me but I decided not to let my personal circumstances be a setback. I enrolled on a Construction course at West London College and since then I haven’t looked back.
“West London Construction Academy works great for me, is near home and I’m excited to be learning on a live construction site with experienced professionals. Since starting my course I definitely feel more confident in my abilities and my resilience to overcome obstacles.
“Construction is still seen as a man’s world but I am very determined to do well in my chosen career and hope to encourage more women to study and work in the trade, I believe that if I can do it, anyone can do it.”
