Shyra Cybulak is currently working and studying on a Level 3 Accountancy Apprenticeship.
Why did you get into your chosen course?
Working as a bar supervisor was having a negative impact on my family life, so I decided to make some changes in my life and enrolled in a part-time Accounting course at West London College so I can study and work at the same time.
After completing my course I got a job as a Finance Administrator at Royal Hospital Chelsea, three months into my role I was offered the AAT Level 3 apprenticeship program, and here I am on my new journey.
Why is studying your course important to you?
Studying my course is important to me because I feel more confident at work and I will gain the qualification I need to progress in my career.
How has the course helped you develop?
Being an apprentice means I get to put theory into practice, I have a better understanding of bookkeeping concepts and developed my analytical and time management skills.
What was your favourite moment in college?
I enjoy having discussions with my classmates to find better ways to handle work and study.
What have you got planned next?
I would like to continue studying under the apprenticeship program, so I’m planning to do AAT Level 4.
