Fees indicated are based on the current academic year (2018/19) and are subject to change next year.
For students under 19
Our courses & apprenticeships are usually free if you are 18 or under on the 31st of August 2019. Some courses have additional fees for things like materials and travel, which you will need to pay at the start of your course. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support for these costs.
For students aged 19 or over
If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees. Some courses may be free, depending on your circumstances. Certain Level 3 & 4 courses require you to pay the fee in full or take out an Advanced Learning Loan to pay for your course. Please see our guide to fees for more information.
Students from outside the EU/EEA need to pay the full international fee for their course. Please note, West London College does not offer Tier 4 Visa Sponsorship for students to study in the United Kingdom.
The AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting offers technical training in accounting and is ideal for anyone wishing to pursue or progress their career in accountancy and or finance. The qualification aims to enhance the skills developed from the AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting, enabling students to maximise opportunities in their current or new employment. By studying for this qualification, students will acquire professional accountancy and finance skills that will be useful throughout their careers, including:
- Drafting financial statements for limited companies;
- Knowledge and skills in complex management accounting techniques;
- The ability to analyse accounting systems and their associated controls;
- Knowledge and skills in specialist accountancy and finance subjects.
This qualification comprises four mandatory units and two specialist units selected from a choice of five options.
The mandatory units are:
- Management Accounting: Budgeting;
- Management Accounting: Decision and Control;
- Financial Statements of Limited Companies;
- Accounting Systems and Controls.
The two optional units we will be offering at this centre are:
- Business Tax;
- Credit Control;
- Credit Management.
To start this programme, you will need to have completed the Level 3 AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting.
This course may also be appropriate for those are already working in finance and would like a formal recognition of their skills.
Direct Registrations with Professional Awarding Bodies If students are required to register directly with professional awarding bodies, the registration is not paid at enrolment but is paid directly to the professional awarding body by the student. The courses that are subject to these conditions are mainly professional courses, such as AAT, IPD and CIM. There is no remittance of this registration fee.
Students must successfully complete three mandatory unit assessments (Budgeting, Decision and Control and Financial Statements of Limited Companies and one end of unit assessment where all four mandatory units will be assessed. In addition, students complete unit assessments for two optional units.
Learners are entitled to 1 free re-sit for the whole level and will have to pay for all re-sits after that. Re-sits are £50 for each re-sit (this is to cover the AAT exam fee and our administration costs).
You will learn in dedicated classrooms and study on a part time basis being taught by a highly experienced lecturers.
