Fee Information

Fees indicated are based on the current year (August 2016 to July 2017) and are subject to change next year.

Our further education courses (Entry to Level 3) are usually free if you are 16-18 years old. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support to help with other costs associated with your course such as course materials and travel.

If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees.

If you are enrolling onto a Level 3 or 4 course and are over 19 years of age the fees may be higher and you will be required to take out an Advanced Learning Loan, please see the guide to fees for more information.

International students will be required to pay the full International course fee.

About this course

LTSB is a four month pre apprenticeship programme leading to a twelve month Level 3 apprenticeship. You will undertake a Level 2 AAT accounting qualification completing units such as Using Accounting Software and Bookkeeping Transactions. You will also complete FA Level 1 coaching, refereeing and first aid courses with the Chelsea Charitable Foundation.

The LTSB programme aims to give disadvantaged young people, aged 16-24, access to careers in accounting and finance.

Students will spend three days in college studying for their Level 2 AAT qualification, one day a week with the Chelsea Charitable Foundation and one day undertaking a variety of enrichment events organised and run by LTSB

Entry Requirements

You will need at least 5 GCSEs with Grade A*- C, including English and Maths. For Maths you will need grade B, as a minimal.

Assessment Method

All assessments are completed by undertaking online examinations.

Progression Opportunities

You will progress onto a 12-month paid apprenticeship with leading employers including ICAP, Eversheds, Deloitte, EY, RBS, Grant Thornton, RSM, Macquarie, Carpetright and Johnson Matthey. You will also receive ongoing personal and professional development by LTSB

Study Methods

You will complete online exams for the Level 2 AAT qualification. You will participate in debates, competitions, mock trials, business games, as well as workshops and events with leading companies and business people. In addition you will complete 35 hours of volunteering in the community.
