This is an exciting course that has been developed for first line managers and supervisors who have responsibility for a well-defined area of activity. This qualification is aimed at giving junior managers the communication and motivational skills that would enhance their operational efficiency.

The CMI- First Line Management has 3 levels such as Award, Certificate or Diploma Level and you can study the course at any level.

Our Level 3 Diploma in First Line Management has a more comprehensive structure which will provide you with all the necessary skills and competencies to become an efficient first line manager. The course assignments will make you thorough with the management theories and models that will be applicable in a wide range of practical work scenarios. Upon completion of the course, you will be well developed in your workplace problem-solving skills. The course covers current practices concerning workplace supervision and management. This knowledge will allow you to competently manage workplace problems. Learners will need to complete the following 6 units to achieve this qualification:

This is an exciting intensive course that will offer learners who wish to progress in business, administration or finance an opportunity to develop essential study skills along with vocational units to create a firm foundation for successful progression to a full Level 1 qualifications. The Award in Administration and Finance is ideal for learners who are not yet ready to commit to a larger qualification. As well as developing your knowledge and understanding of business in general, you will also have the opportunity to take part in work experience for a week .

Units covered will include; Introduction to Study Skills, Generating and Presenting a Business Idea, and Marketing. You will have a personal progress tutor who will support you throughout the course.

All learners will also get a chance to improve their literacy and numeracy to level 1, with a programme of study that includes Functional skills English and Maths.

This course will help you develop a range of job-related and personal skills to pursue an entry job role within the business industry such as an Apprentice, Office Administrator/Assistant, Retail Assistant or an entry level IT Assistant.

This Level 2 course will develop your knowledge and understanding of business in general. You will study 10 units in total which are all internally assessed. You will cover a wide range of units such as marketing, business purposes and organisations, financial forecasting, personal selling, online business etc. As this course is part of a study programme you will be given the opportunity to also work with businesses on projects and complete at least 5 days of work experience.

If you do not have a grade C in GCSE Maths and English, you will be assessed and will have to continue either on a GCSE course or a Functional Skills course at Level 1 or Level 2.

This course will help you develop a range of job-related and personal skills to pursue an entry job role within the business industry such as an Apprentice, Office Administrator/Assistant, Retail Assistant or an entry level IT Assistant.

This course is for you if you are planning a career in Business or computing.

As well as introducing the world of Business, this course will also develop the learning skills you need to be successful at level 2 and beyond. You will learn important skills such as being organised and working with others as well as how to use a variety of software packages and will study Functional Skills English and Mathematics. All students will have a personal progress tutor who will support them throughout the course.

This course is for you if you are planning a career in business. It will develop your knowledge, skills and understanding of many different aspects of the business world. You will study a wide range of subject areas such as The Business Environment, Business Resources, Introduction to Marketing, Business Accounting, Personal and Business Finance, Managing an Event, International Business, Principles of management, Business Decision Making etc.

All students will be placed on the 90 credit Diploma in year 1. Upon successful completion of year 1, students can progress to year 2 to gain the full Extended Diploma. The study programme will include study skills where you will complete modules such as Word and Excel to gain the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) qualification. You will also have the opportunity to take part in work experience for a week, which will enable you to develop your employability skills further.

The qualification has been developed in partnership with the National Enterprise Academy (NEA), in consultation with entrepreneurs and business people, experienced teachers and learners. This is an exciting course that will offer learners the opportunity to start up and run a fully functioning legal business to develop their entrepreneurial skills. The course will require learners to focus on their own self development through the start-up process as well as interact with entrepreneurs and business people throughout the course of their study.

The specification is designed for learners aged 16-19 who wish to know how to start up a business or social enterprise. Therefore, the mandatory units of the qualification reflect the essential aspects of starting and running a business. Optional units provide choice for specialisms in areas that will augment learners’ understanding of enterprise.

Learners will be required to start up and run a business during the course (please note this could be a social enterprise instead of a profit-making business if preferred).

Units will include some of the following and more: The Innovative Entrepreneur, Business Planning and Pitching, Financial Planning and Implementation, Launching your Business Vision, Leadership and Teamwork.

As part of your study programme you will also have the opportunity to complete a week of work experience.
