Fees indicated are based on the current academic year (2019/20) and are subject to change next year.
For students under 19
Our courses & apprenticeships are usually free if you are 18 or under on the 31st of August 2019. Some courses have additional fees for things like materials and travel, which you will need to pay at the start of your course. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support for these costs.
For students aged 19 or over
If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees. Some courses may be free, depending on your circumstances. Certain Level 3 & 4 courses require you to pay the fee in full or take out an Advanced Learning Loan to pay for your course. Please see our guide to fees for more information.
Students from outside the EU/EEA need to pay the full international fee for their course. Please note, West London College does not offer Tier 4 Visa Sponsorship for students to study in the United Kingdom.
OCN L2 Diploma in Progression offers a unique opportunity for learners to explore a range of learning opportunities that will prepare them for more advanced learning and offer a pathway to university. The course will focus on developing a broad range of study skills that will support and consolidate learning.
The qualification offers learners an opportunity to study for a nationally recognised qualification whilst ensuring that they benefit from personalised learning. Students will study a range of units including: critical thinking, personal development, marketing and finance.
Students will a range of units including: critical thinking, personal development, marketing and finance, IT and a number of complementary study skills units.
Students who have not achieved GCSE Maths and English (grades A - C or 4 - 9 ) will study GCSE Maths and English alongside their main course.
2-4 GCSEs grade D or 3 and above (including Maths and English, we welcome learners without formal qualifications but they will be required to sit an entrance test.
Assessment is an integral part of the overall learning process and our student centred approach aims to promote and enhance creativity, analytical thinking, research skills and effective communication skills. You will be assessed through project work, written assignments, in class tests, presentations and observations.
From this qualification you could progress onto L3 Access to HE in Business.
You will learn in dedicated classrooms using IT based equipment. You will have up to 12 hours of timetabled classes each week including: taught sessions, blended learning opportunities, group tutorial with your personal tutor, who will support and encourage you throughout the duration of the course.
You will also gain exposure to business organisations through external visits, guest speakers and attending curriculum related visits. You will also be offered the opportunity to take part in enrichment programmes.
The College offers welfare services to provide support and guidance whenever it is needed. The Colleges Learning Resource Centre provides excellent facilities for private study and includes access to computers, an extensive library and quiet study areas.
Mode of attendance: two and a half days a week. You will also have to complete some independent work. As part of the course, employer visits and guest speakers will be arranged to enhance and contextualise your learning.
