Fee Information

Fees indicated are based on the current year (August 2016 to July 2017) and are subject to change next year.

Our further education courses (Entry to Level 3) are usually free if you are 16-18 years old. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support to help with other costs associated with your course such as course materials and travel.

If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees.

If you are enrolling onto a Level 3 or 4 course and are over 19 years of age the fees may be higher and you will be required to take out an Advanced Learning Loan, please see the guide to fees for more information.

International students will be required to pay the full International course fee.

About this course

This qualification is aimed at those already working with supervisory responsibility in an early years setting.

Entry Requirements

GCSE A-C in English and maths. Relevant level three early years qualification. Must be working at a supervisory role in an early years setting.

Assessment Method

Assessment strategies include linking theory to practice. Case studies, presentations, group work and course work are used to assess your learning.

Your vocational practice will be assessed through observation, reports and a personal reflective log. At the end of the year you will be expected to present a portfolio of evidence that meets all course requirements.

Progression Opportunities

Move to higher learning such as a degree. Higher level employment.

Study Methods

This course will run on Tuesday evening 4.30pm until 9.30pm and also requires attendance on one Saturday per half term.

Delivery is through a combination of classroom teaching and practical work placements. Both of these elements are a compulsory part of the course.
