Fee Information

Fees indicated are based on the current year (August 2016 to July 2017) and are subject to change next year.

Our further education courses (Entry to Level 3) are usually free if you are 16-18 years old. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support to help with other costs associated with your course such as course materials and travel.

If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees.

If you are enrolling onto a Level 3 or 4 course and are over 19 years of age the fees may be higher and you will be required to take out an Advanced Learning Loan, please see the guide to fees for more information.

International students will be required to pay the full International course fee.

This course is for you if you are looking to improve your IT skills in order to use advance features of web designing in view of developing e-Commerce websites and websites for marketing and advertising.

The City & Guilds iTQ L2 Certificate for IT Users will be at an intermediate level, providing you with essential skills in creating your own website, or supporting you in employment or providing you with the skills and knowledge to freelance. You can progress to higher levels if you wish. This qualification can open doors into the Web design industry or open the door for self-employment.

Units at level 2 are the same as level 1. However the content covered is in greater depth and at a more advanced level:

  • Improving productivity using IT;
  • Desktop Publishing;
  • Imaging software for use on your web designs;
  • Web Design software – Dreamweaver;
  • Social media such as linking Facebook to web design and Google docs.
Entry Requirements

Literacy level 1 minimum. Have completed the iTQ Level 1 Web Design or similar qualifications. If not, your prior knowledge will be checked at interview stage.

Assessment Method

In class assessments and portfolios.

Progression Opportunities

After successful completion of this course, you will have the opportunity to progress onto a level 3 programme, which is highly recognised by employers.

Level 3 iTQ will include professional qualifications such as CIW (Certified Internet Web Professional) and Comptia A+.

Study Methods

In class learning and independent study. You will learn in dedicated classrooms and IT labs with the latest software and equipment. This course is offered at Hammersmith & Fulham College over 3 days (16 hours) for 6 weeks.
