Fees indicated are based on the current year (August 2016 to July 2017) and are subject to change next year.
Our further education courses (Entry to Level 3) are usually free if you are 16-18 years old. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support to help with other costs associated with your course such as course materials and travel.
If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees.
If you are enrolling onto a Level 3 or 4 course and are over 19 years of age the fees may be higher and you will be required to take out an Advanced Learning Loan, please see the guide to fees for more information.
International students will be required to pay the full International course fee.

This course is for you if you are planning a career in IT or Computing. As well as learning how to use a variety of software packages, English and Mathematics are included in the course timetable. Learners will also be taught important skills such as internet safety and setting up a PC. All students will have a personal progress tutor who will support them through the course.
Modules will include amongst others - Website development, Spreadsheet and database, Computer graphics as well as Project planning using IT. Modules may vary at each campus. Employability units will be built into your programme of study.
All learners will also get a chance to improve their literacy and numeracy to level 2, either with a programme of study that includes GCSE English and Maths, or Functional skills English and Maths. You will also have the opportunity to take part in work experience for a week which will enable you to develop your employability skills further.
2-4 GCSEs grade A*-D (including Maths and English, or functional skills at Level 1 in Maths and English), or a BTEC Level 1 Diploma with level 1 Functional skills in Maths and English. Successful completion of internal assessment is also required.
The majority of the course will be assessed through coursework, with only the Functional Skills Mathematics and English, or GCSEs being assessed through controlled exams.
Learners who completed this course went on to a Level 3 course such as BTEC L3 Diploma. We offer a variety of options based on your success level and future ambitions.
You will learn in dedicated classrooms and IT labs with the latest software and equipment.
You will have up to 16 hours of timetabled classes each week including a group tutorial with your personal tutor, who will support and encourage you throughout the duration of the course. As part of the course, employer visits and guest speakers will be arranged to enhance and contextualise your learning.
