Fees indicated are based on the current academic year (2019/20) and are subject to change next year.
For students under 19
Our courses & apprenticeships are usually free if you are 18 or under on the 31st of August 2019. Some courses have additional fees for things like materials and travel, which you will need to pay at the start of your course. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support for these costs.
For students aged 19 or over
If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees. Some courses may be free, depending on your circumstances. Certain Level 3 & 4 courses require you to pay the fee in full or take out an Advanced Learning Loan to pay for your course. Please see our guide to fees for more information.
International Students
Students from outside the EU/EEA need to pay the full international fee for their course. Please note, West London College does not offer Tier 4 Visa Sponsorship for students to study in the United Kingdom.
What will you Learn? Scientific principles for domestic, Industrial and Commercial plumbing. Common plumbing processes Cold water systems Domestic hot water systems Sanitation Central Heating systems Drainage Systems Health and safety in building service engineering. Understand how to communicate with others within building services engineering.
You will need to have passed the Level 1 Diploma in Building Services or Plumbing Level 1, 4 GCSEs grade A* - C (including English, Maths and Science) and will need to have have completed functional skills and numeracy at Level 1.
Online multiple choice test, portfolio and practical assignments.
There are a variety of pathways at Level 2 & Level 3 which correspond to domestic and commercial plumbing installation and maintenance practice. Progression to the NVQ Diploma 6189 is possible for those candidates who gain employment as a plumber.
Learners may progress onto the Level 3 qualification, you can also have an opportunity to complete Construction Health & Safety course and Employers Rights and Responsibility (ERR).
Our qualifications can lead directly into employment, offering learners the chance to develop their skills and knowledge to a high standard recognised by the Plumbing Industry.
This course takes place at the Acton campus in the daytime for 2.5 days a week.
