Fee Information

Fees indicated are based on the current year (August 2016 to July 2017) and are subject to change next year.

Our further education courses (Entry to Level 3) are usually free if you are 16-18 years old. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support to help with other costs associated with your course such as course materials and travel.

If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees.

If you are enrolling onto a Level 3 or 4 course and are over 19 years of age the fees may be higher and you will be required to take out an Advanced Learning Loan, please see the guide to fees for more information.

International students will be required to pay the full International course fee.

About this course

This qualification is designed for those experienced or recently trained in electrical installation, who wish to enter the profitable area of periodic Inspection and Testing.

This course teaches candidates to inspect and test existing installations. This will be an invaluable qualification for those looking to supply this service in either a domestic or commercial setting.

Entry Requirements

This 2395 qualification is ideal for existing contractors who already have knowledge of inspection and testing. Ideally you will have previous experience and/or already completed one of the following courses:

  • City & Guilds 2392 Inspection & Testing Course
  • City & Guilds 2394 Initial Verification & Certification Course
Assessment Method

Candidates must:

  • Successfully complete one online multiple choice test
  • Successfully complete one on-demand, on-line short answer test.
  • Successfully complete one assignment

This qualification allows candidates to continue with and further their employment opportunities

Study Methods

This course will teach you the principles, practices and legislation for Periodic Inspection and Testing and reporting of electrical installations in accordance with statutory and non-statutory regulations and requirements.
