Fees indicated are based on the current academic year (2018/19) and are subject to change next year.
For students under 19
Our courses & apprenticeships are usually free if you are 18 or under on the 31st of August 2019. Some courses have additional fees for things like materials and travel, which you will need to pay at the start of your course. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support for these costs.
For students aged 19 or over
If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees. Some courses may be free, depending on your circumstances. Certain Level 3 & 4 courses require you to pay the fee in full or take out an Advanced Learning Loan to pay for your course. Please see our guide to fees for more information.
Students from outside the EU/EEA need to pay the full international fee for their course. Please note, West London College does not offer Tier 4 Visa Sponsorship for students to study in the United Kingdom.
This qualification is suitable for you if you are an adult returning to work, or if you are undergoing a career change. You would take this qualification as part of a learning programme to increase your knowledge and understanding of the adult social care sector, or if you are working towards a career in this sector in a supervised job role. This qualification is ideal for you if you have already completed the Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care qualification, as you will already have a basic understanding of the unit subject matter. Undertaking the Level 3 Certificate will allow you to build on this knowledge and understanding further. As this qualification is knowledge only, you do not need to be working or undertaking practical placements to take this qualification.
You will be required to meet the following eligibility criteria for funding purposes:
- 19+ Years old.
- EU/UK Citizen 3 years or more.
- Must not be enrolled onto a current apprenticeship.
You will complete a series of assessments within a set time-frame which will be marked by a qualified assessor these will produce the relevant evidence to meet the requirements for the awarding body. On successful completion you will be awarded a nationally recognised level 2 qualification.
Further your personal development. Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England. Level 2 or 3 Certificate in preparing to work in Adult Social Care. Level 2 or 3 Certificate for working in the Health Sector. Intermediate or Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Health & Social Care. Intermediate or Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Health (Clinical Healthcare Support).
As this course is undertaken by distance learning, there is no need to attend the college and you can study at a time that suits you. You will receive a set of comprehensive learning materials on your subject, and have access to a knowledgeable tutor and assessor who will support you throughout the programme.
