Fee Information

Fees indicated are based on the current year (August 2016 to July 2017) and are subject to change next year.

Our further education courses (Entry to Level 3) are usually free if you are 16-18 years old. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support to help with other costs associated with your course such as course materials and travel.

If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees.

If you are enrolling onto a Level 3 or 4 course and are over 19 years of age the fees may be higher and you will be required to take out an Advanced Learning Loan, please see the guide to fees for more information.

International students will be required to pay the full International course fee.

About this course

Many people find it helpful to seek the support of counselling at some point in their lives. People in any situation could benefit from Counselling, those with the correct understanding, knowledge and skills can provide them with support to improve personal well-being. Achieve a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification. Evidence your competency to employers. Further your personal and professional development. Learn at a time that suits you without the need to attend college.

Entry Requirements

You will be required to meet the following eligibility criteria for funding purposes:

  • 19+ Years old.
  • EU/UK Citizen 3 years or more.
  • Must not be enrolled onto a current apprenticeship.
Assessment Method

You will complete a series of assessments within a set time-frame which will be marked by a qualified assessor these will produce the relevant evidence to meet the requirements for the awarding body. On successful completion you will be awarded a nationally recognised level 2 qualification.

Progression Opportunities

Further your personal development. Level 3 award in Counselling Skills and Theory Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills Level 3 Certificate for working in the Health Sector Level 3 Diploma in Allied Health Profession Support

Study Methods

As this course is undertaken by distance learning, there is no need to attend the college and you can study at a time that suits you. You will receive a set of comprehensive learning materials on your subject, and have access to a knowledgeable tutor and assessor who will support you throughout the programme.
