Fee Information

Fees indicated are based on the current year (August 2016 to July 2017) and are subject to change next year.

Our further education courses (Entry to Level 3) are usually free if you are 16-18 years old. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support to help with other costs associated with your course such as course materials and travel.

If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees.

If you are enrolling onto a Level 3 or 4 course and are over 19 years of age the fees may be higher and you will be required to take out an Advanced Learning Loan, please see the guide to fees for more information.

International students will be required to pay the full International course fee.

About this course

This qualification is suitable for learners aged 19 and above. There are no specific prior qualifications needed to access this qualification. This qualification is designed for a wide range of learners who wish to gain an understanding of end of life care. These may be learners who wish to access this training with a view to progress to further qualifications or employment within health and social care, to complement other qualifications within apprenticeship frameworks within health or health and social care, or to develop within their current job role within health and social care.

Assessment Method

You will complete a series of assessments within a set time-frame which will be marked by a qualified assessor these will produce the relevant evidence to meet the requirements for the awarding body. On successful completion you will be awarded a nationally recognised level 2 qualification.

Progression Opportunities

Further your personal development. Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England. Level 2 or 3 Certificate in preparing to work in Adult Social Care. Level 2 or 3 Certificate for working in the Health Sector. Intermediate or Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Health & Social Care. Intermediate or Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Health (Clinical Healthcare Support).

Study Methods

As this course is undertaken by distance learning, there is no need to attend the college and you can study at a time that suits you. You will receive a set of comprehensive learning materials on your subject, and have access to a knowledgeable tutor and assessor who will support you throughout the programme.
