Fees indicated are based on the current year (August 2016 to July 2017) and are subject to change next year.
Our further education courses (Entry to Level 3) are usually free if you are 16-18 years old. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support to help with other costs associated with your course such as course materials and travel.
If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees.
If you are enrolling onto a Level 3 or 4 course and are over 19 years of age the fees may be higher and you will be required to take out an Advanced Learning Loan, please see the guide to fees for more information.
International students will be required to pay the full International course fee.

Enterprise and Independent Living is a progression course from Enterprise and Communication. The course aims to further support young people with Autism while preparing them for the transition into adulthood with the use of proactive, holistic, flexible and evidence based approaches. We provide young people with a low level arousal and very structured environment that supports the development of their mind and body.
The curriculum is designed for young people to form an understanding of the world around them, including how to relate to others, communicate, be creative and manage their anxieties. Students are supported to master tasks and learn skills for ‘doing’ and ‘thinking’ building on their independence skills and allowing them to take active part in their communities.
The curriculum will focus on the following areas: Communication/Social Skills Vocational/Employability Skills Personal Independence Skills Health and Wellbeing Community Inclusion Creative Development
There are no formal entry requirements. Suitability and assessments will be discussed at interview and based on individual circumstances. However, all learners will require a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder and have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
All students will compile a portfolio of evidence that will contain a mixture of photographs, witness statements, personal statements and course work. The portfolios are internally assessed and verified prior to external verification by an Awarding Body. Some students complete a portfolio which records their progress and development using RARPA (Recognising and Recording Personal Achievement), these portfolios are internally verified.
Some students will be entered for Functional Skills English and maths live assessments at the level indicated during initial assessments and verified through continuous diagnostic assessments or or if they are not yet ready will do RARPA English and maths qualifications.
If students successfully complete this programme of study, they can progress onto Year 2 or 3 options within Inclusive Learning. The options are: ? Enterprise and Community Year 3 Progression subject to students meeting eligibility criteria for programme applied for.
All students will participate in small group sessions comprising no more than 5 students. The students will demonstrate skills in a mixture of practical and formal based learning environments.
