Fees indicated are based on the current year (August 2016 to July 2017) and are subject to change next year.
Our further education courses (Entry to Level 3) are usually free if you are 16-18 years old. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support to help with other costs associated with your course such as course materials and travel.
If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees.
If you are enrolling onto a Level 3 or 4 course and are over 19 years of age the fees may be higher and you will be required to take out an Advanced Learning Loan, please see the guide to fees for more information.
International students will be required to pay the full International course fee.

The course is a supported internship based at the Hilton Hotel Heathrow Terminal 5 London. Hotel internships are temporary positions within hotels that allow you to gain practical experience by working alongside professionals. Interns at the hotel are encouraged to gain valuable experience in entry level jobs that relates directly to their employment goals. You will usually be required to work in 3 departments during your internship and offers an opportunity to concentrate on areas of interest or suitability. The aim of your internship is to learn the policies, systems and procedures in place for each department you work in. Hotel internships are available to work within the following areas – Kitchen; Front of House; Housekeeping; Food and Beverage; Meeting and Events; Back of House; and Maintenance.
Students will study an Award in Employability Level 1. This will comprise of 4 OCN units covering Working as a Team, Communication Skills in Preparing for Work, Work Experience, and Oral Presentation Skills.
The programme is based on Project SEARCH requirements http://www.projectsearch.us/ designed for young people with learning difficulties to gain meaningful employment.
All applicants should have an EHCP. No educational qualifications are necessary. Students need to be aware that this is an employability course and the aim is to gain employment following on from the course.
- Several presentations take place early in the year where students can register their interest although students can apply directly to the college any time.
- Open Day at the Hilton Hotel to view the setting, with a presentation and Q & A with staff
- Assessment Day at the Hilton Hotel potential interns are interviewed and given short tasks to complete. Successful applicants to be informed shortly afterwards.
- Home visits by Mencap to assess needs.
- Welcome BBQ/Family Day at the Hilton Hotel for successful applicants and their families
- Start course in September/register with Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College
- Take BKSB initial assessments
Interns are assessed continually by on-site staff regarding their progress, attitude, and effort in their work rotations. 1:1 tutor sessions monitor personal progress. Regular Progress meetings involving the intern, Tutor, Job Coaches and parents. Completion of Award in Employability (4 OCN units) Maths and English RARPA evidencing
Whilst the internship programme is geared toward entry level jobs in the Hospitality and Catering fields there is great emphasis on transferrable skills such as positive attitude to work, striving to do their best, excellent punctuality and attendance record
Students will spend 4 days a week on their internship shadowing staff and working in the hotel departments as employees, and one day in the training room studying relevant qualifications. The on-site Vocational Tutor will guide the students through the training qualifications and prepare them for Maths and English study at the relevant level. On-site Job Coaches will support the students in their work rotations, searching and applying for jobs, attending interviewing with them when appropriate, and aiding them after they have found employment.
Students will also get the chance to study with the Hilton University, the Hiltons own universally recognised in-house training specialising in areas of Hospitality, Catering and Customer Service.
There will be regular group and 1:1 tutoring sessions to monitor personal progression, discuss any difficulties and positive steps forward.
