Fees indicated are based on the current academic year (2018/19) and are subject to change next year.
For students under 19
Our courses & apprenticeships are usually free if you are 18 or under on the 31st of August 2019. Some courses have additional fees for things like materials and travel, which you will need to pay at the start of your course. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support for these costs.
For students aged 19 or over
If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees. Some courses may be free, depending on your circumstances. Certain Level 3 & 4 courses require you to pay the fee in full or take out an Advanced Learning Loan to pay for your course. Please see our guide to fees for more information.
Students from outside the EU/EEA need to pay the full international fee for their course. Please note, West London College does not offer Tier 4 Visa Sponsorship for students to study in the United Kingdom.
The BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma covers the key knowledge and practical skills required in the Sport sector. The BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma offers flexibility and a choice of emphasis through the optional units. It is broadly equivalent to one GCE A Level. It offers an engaging programme for those who are clear about the area of Sport that they wish to enter. Once completed you may wish to extend your programme through further study. At West London College this learning programme has been developed to allow learners to study English and/or Maths to enable learners to improve in these subject areas.
You will undertake units in a variety of subject areas such as: Principles of Anatomy and Physiology in Sport The Physiology of Fitness Assessing Risk in Sport
You will attend college for 3 days per week. In addition to this you will be expected to undertake Work Experience.
The college offers a range of facilities such as: Learning Resource Centre English & Maths support Student Union Student Services
You will require 2 to 3 GCSE's including English or Maths at D/3 in. You will also be considered if you have the aptitude and ability to complete the course and study English and Maths and have a qualification in Sport at Level 2.
You will produce a portfolio of coursework, to evidence your time on the course. You will also undertake practicals for which you will received feedback from your tutor(s).
You can progress onto the Level 3 National Diploma in Sport, sign up for an apprenticeship or take up full time employment.
The college has a fully equipped gym , in which you will complete practical assessments. Whilst studying at West London College you will work in groups, complete a portfolio, participate in class discussions and have the opportunity to undertake trips.
