Fees indicated are based on the current academic year (2019/20) and are subject to change next year.
For students under 19
Our courses & apprenticeships are usually free if you are 18 or under on the 31st of August 2019. Some courses have additional fees for things like materials and travel, which you will need to pay at the start of your course. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support for these costs.
For students aged 19 or over
If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees. Some courses may be free, depending on your circumstances. Certain Level 3 & 4 courses require you to pay the fee in full or take out an Advanced Learning Loan to pay for your course. Please see our guide to fees for more information.
Students from outside the EU/EEA need to pay the full international fee for their course. Please note, West London College does not offer Tier 4 Visa Sponsorship for students to study in the United Kingdom.
Adults 19+ This course is for those that want to work in an airport environment, it is an introduction to the role of ground handling and customer service agents, which includes check-in, aircraft dispatch, communications, health and safety and assisting passengers.
You will learn a variety of both technical and customer service skills, the units covered are: Unit 201 Recognise airside hazards and minimise risks Unit 202 Contribute to the maintenance of aviation, health, safety and security Unit 203 Carry out effective communications and information transfer in an aviation environment Unit 207 Check in aviation passengers and baggage Unit 208 Receive, call and escort passengers to and from aircraft Unit 215 Support aviation operations on the ground Specialist Aviation Unit 210 Maintain the comfort of passengers using the Executive lounge
Who is this course for? This course is for those that would like to work in the airport/aviation environment, it is also for those that may have been out of the industry for a while and need a refresher course
Facilities and Support We have a mock aircraft cabin and mock check in area, we have visits from airline staff and have contacts within the aviation industry

A good understanding of English at minimum Level 1 and good numeracy skills are essential. However if you are in doubt please come in to see us.
You will need to complete set assignments and role-plays.
This qualification helps you to gain employment within an Airport in roles such as check-in, VIP lounges, baggage handling and airport customer service. The college also has Fares and Ticketing and Computer reservation courses available.
The course requires you to complete written assignments, it will also include role plays using our mock aircraft and check in area.
