Fee Information

Fees indicated are based on the current academic year (2019/20) and are subject to change next year.

For students under 19

Our courses & apprenticeships are usually free if you are 18 or under on the 31st of August 2019. Some courses have additional fees for things like materials and travel, which you will need to pay at the start of your course. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support for these costs.

For students aged 19 or over

If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees. Some courses may be free, depending on your circumstances. Certain Level 3 & 4 courses require you to pay the fee in full or take out an Advanced Learning Loan to pay for your course. Please see our guide to fees for more information.

International Students

Students from outside the EU/EEA need to pay the full international fee for their course. Please note, West London College does not offer Tier 4 Visa Sponsorship for students to study in the United Kingdom.


About this course

This introductory NCFE course will develop your knowledge and understanding of working as part of a cabin crew, who help to make the customer journey the best experience. Learn customer service and selling skills and understand the UK and worldwide destinations.

You will work towards the NCFE Level 2 Certificate Introduction to Cabin Crew.

Over a 15 week period, 2 days a week, you will study six subjects ranging from Airline Health, Safety and Security, Dealing with passengers, Emergency Evacuations and Selling Skills.

Depending on your circumstances you may be exempt from paying fees, please check with our cashiers department.

Entry Requirements

You will need at least 2 GCSE's, grades A-D, or equivalent (including English). Good understanding of English and good numeracy skills are essential, Level 1 Literacy & Numeracy minimum. The minimum age is 19. You will need to be between 5'2 (157cm) and 6'2 (187cm) in height and be able to swim 25m.

Applicants will be required to attend a college interview during which you will be assessed for your suitability for the course. You will also complete an assessment test. You will need to have at least 6 months recent customer service experience.

Please also bear in mind that airlines may not consider you for employment as Cabin Crew if you have any visible tattoos/facial piercings although this would not prevent you from completing the course with us.

Assessment Method

The course is assessed through written reports, tests, role plays and other practical activities.

Students must pass all units in order to gain overall achievement on the course.

Progression Opportunities

This course is designed to enable you to apply for jobs as Cabin Crew.

Students have gained employment as Cabin Crew for airlines such as British Airways, Emirates, Ryanair, Easyjet, Norwegian Air, Etihad Airways and Thomas Cook. Other students are with airport ground handling agents such as Menzies and Cobalt at Heathrow airport.

You could continue your studies and join our Level 2 Airline, Travel Agent and Check-in Course (AIRTAC), which starts in September.

Apply for an internship, apprenticeship or training programme at an airline, airport or travel company.

Study Methods

You will learn in dedicated Travel & Tourism classrooms and our mock aircraft cabin. You will also attend training with a prestigious airline.

The course also includes visits to an airport and airlines. Please note that all students will need to pay for these trips, approximately £60. Please confirm this at enrolment. You will also need to purchase the uniform at the start of the course at an approximate cost of £100.
