Fees indicated are based on the current academic year (2018/19) and are subject to change next year.
For students under 19
Our courses & apprenticeships are usually free if you are 18 or under on the 31st of August 2019. Some courses have additional fees for things like materials and travel, which you will need to pay at the start of your course. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support for these costs.
For students aged 19 or over
If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees. Some courses may be free, depending on your circumstances. Certain Level 3 & 4 courses require you to pay the fee in full or take out an Advanced Learning Loan to pay for your course. Please see our guide to fees for more information.
Students from outside the EU/EEA need to pay the full international fee for their course. Please note, West London College does not offer Tier 4 Visa Sponsorship for students to study in the United Kingdom.
Virgin Atlantic IATA Air Fares and Ticketing is an internationally recognised qualification for people already in the travel industry or those who want to enter it. This is a key qualification for those that want to work within aviation, travel and tourism as a travel agent, tour operator, airport check-in or ticketing agent.
A good understanding of English at minimum Level 1 and good numeracy skills are essential. All applicants will be required to attend an interview and sit an entry assessment test.
This course has a high pass grade of 85%. There will be an exam at the end of the course.
This qualification helps you to gain employment with travel agents and airport roles such as check-in and customer service. For those that specifically want to work in the back office issuing and dealing with ticketing this is an essential qualification. You can also progress onto the Computer Reservation Systems Course (Galileo, Worldspan, Amadeus and Sabre).
The course runs for 60 hours (2 nights per week of 3 hours for a 10 week period). The course includes coding/decoding, fare construction, reading and understanding rules, ticketing instructions plus much more. The course uses the Virgin Atlantic manuals which are included in the course price (normally £120.00). You will have a dedicated specialist to help you through the required modules.
