WEST LONDON CONSTRUCTION ACADEMY is a new, purpose-built facility in the heart of the Southall Waterside development, which is an active construction site. If you'd like more information about West London Construction Academy, please come to an Open Day at Southall Community College to be taken to the site which is a short walk away*. 

*Access to the site is subject to restrictions. Where tours are not possible, staff will be on hand to provide information on West London Construction Academy courses at Southall Community College.

Open Days at West London College are a great way for you and your family to find out more about the College and the courses available to you. At our open days you will the chance to:

  • See the College facilities
  • Meet our current students
  • Speak to staff about courses
  • Get independent advice and guidance
  • Receive support with your application  
  • Get a conditional or unconditional offer

During your time with us, you can also take part in have-a-go activities that give you a taste of what you could do on a course with us.

How do I find the College?

How can I attend an Open Day?
To pre-register for an open day, find the College you are interested in visiting on our open day page and click on the booking button next to it. Don’t worry if you can’t pre-register, you can also drop in on the day.

Do my family and friends need to book individually?
No, you can book for multiple people at the same time through our online booking form.

Can I change or cancel my booking if I have pre-registered?
Yes, you can amend or cancel your booking through the booking portal.

What time do I need to arrive?
Doors open at 4pm. The event closes at 7pm but we would advise that you arrive at least 30 minutes before the event closes to give yourself enough time to find out all of the information you need. At some Open Days there are allocated time slots for talks, Q&As and presentations, which you will be able to book onto when you arrive.

Who can attend an Open Day?
Anyone interested in studying at the College can attend an Open Day. You are welcome to bring family and guests with you so that they can also see the facilities and find out more about the College.

Do you offer car parking facilities?
We are unable to offer car parking facilities for Open Day visitors.

Can school groups attend?
School groups are very welcome to attend our Open Day and to book please contact our team via our school liaison page.

Can I visit any of the Colleges outside of an Open Day?
If you are interested in any of our College courses you are welcome to drop in and speak to our Learner Information Service teams between 9am - 5pm.
