Friday 22nd December 2017
On 21st December the Board of Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College met to consider the findings of the FE Commissioner’s report into the proposed merger with Kensington and Chelsea College. The advice was that the merger be paused to enable more time to finalise the arrangements for a long lease on the Wornington Road site in North Kensington and to engage further with community groups who have opposed the merger.
The Board of Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College has agreed to the pause and will work closely with the Board of Kensington and Chelsea College to enable a continuation of the existing shared service arrangements for a number of administrative and operational functions to ensure that staff and students are able to continue to participate in high-quality teaching and learning while more permanent arrangements are revisited.
