The new crop of Level 2 Cabin Crew students at Hammersmith & Fulham College were treated to a visit from former student Gosia Mazurkiewicz who graduated from course from earlier this year and - after some challenging training - landed a position with EasyJet.
Gosia described her experience coming to a College Open Day looking for childcare courses and discovering that her real dream of becoming a cabin crew member was
achievable - once she had the relevant customer service experience.
“When I first applied, Monish [my tutor] suggested I do some voluntary work for six months then re-apply. Once I was accepted on the course, the tutors were amazing and helped with everything” she told the class. She also explained the process of going from graduation to employment, saying her tutors helped her the whole way.
Monish Bhandari, Travel and Tourism Tutor, praised Gosia’s work ethic, and talked about the importance of culture within the course. “We’re all one team and look out for each other. Gosia asked a lot of questions, which is something I always encourage”.
Gosia’s visit continued a fine tradition of successful Cabin Crew graduates returning to Hammersmith and Fulham College to address new students, following on from
Eman Ali who returned to speak to students after landing a job with Monarch Airlines in January this year.
The next Cabin Crew course starts in January, applications open on 3 October 2016.
