Hanieh Kani, a former student of Level 2 C&G Diploma Airline and Travel Agents Certificate, is just about to start a new and exciting position with British Airways at London Heathrow Airport.
Hanieh studied both Level 1 and Level 2 and also completed a level 2 NCFE Certificate in Introduction to Cabin Crew. During her time at West London College, Hanieh had a chance to learn about the UK travel industry, its key sectors and employers, and to develop practical skills. She thinks that enhancing her customer skills was one of the most beneficial things for her career.
She enjoyed all her courses at West London College, but highlighted how the Level 2 qualification changed her life. While studying on this course, Hanieh began to realize that this is what she always wanted to do and could be good at.
I really learnt a lot and had a fantastic support throughout the course from all the teachers. We learnt how to work with all the key systems including bookings and check-in.
She especially liked the teachers. Her favorite tutor was Mr Monish Bhandari who was very helpful, not only during the course but also regarding career choices and opportunities.
I’ve had amazing time at the College, studying what I really like and receiving great support from the teachers. Everyone at the college was very helpful and supportive.
She went to work at Heathrow airport, where she started to work in EAT at Terminal 2 and then moved onto a job with Travelex at Terminal 5. However, she has now secured her dream position within the ground crew of British Airways, as a Customer Service Representative. She will be helping customers of BA with check-in procedure, reclaims and other issues. Hanieh expects to begin her training in couple weeks and is really excited about this new opportunity.
It is work with people where I can use my customer skills and it is something I really want to do.
Hanieh highlighted that it was her connection to West London College which helped her find her current job.
Monish helps students by advertising jobs on his Facebook page. I found this position through his page and also received help with my CV and job application.
Hanieh strongly recommends the college for anyone who wants to work in travel and tourism industry, not only because of the quality of the courses but because of the career support she received.
I would absolutely recommend studying at West London College to anyone. It is college full of teachers and staff who want you to succeed and help you to succeed. I thoroughly enjoyed my course and I am very grateful to my teachers.
