Two of our Level 3 Professional Cookery students have taken to the demo stage at the London Produce Show - and performed so well they both received trial shifts at Harrods.
The London Produce Show is an illustrious annual event bringing together suppliers and buyers involved in the fresh produce industry for three days of high level forums, masterclasses, exhibitions and chef demonstrations, including the highly successful Chefs’ Forum Demo Stage.
As part of the Chefs’ Forum Demo Stage, WLC students Chantal Risbey and Princee Pownall-Weir had the fantastic opportunity to act as commis chefs for Lucknam Park Sous Chef Elly Wentworth who was recently runner-up in the Masterchef Professional competition
Following her time with our students, Elly said:
“I was really impressed with [Chantal and Princee]; really pleased with the way they worked and impressed with Chantal coming on stage with me despite her being apprehensive at first – A great day and a fantastic show to be part of!”
Princee and Chantal also impressed Alistair Dibbs, Executive Sous Chef at Harrods so much he offered them both a trial shift on the back of their brilliant performances.
