The high quality of the Information, Advice and Guidance team at Ealing, Hammersmith and West London’s College has received a highly coveted Matrix accreditation following a three day assessment.
The accreditation is a fantastic acknowledgement of the hard work put in by our Student Services and Student Engagement and Experience Teams, and the high quality information, advice and guidance they provide to students.
Following the successful accreditation, the Matrix reviewer contacted the College wishing to share our good practice in other colleges he was working with. The College is delighted to share our recognised good practice and pleased to be acknowledged as a leading provider by Matrix.
The Matrix assessors noted a number of strengths in our information, advice and guidance, including:
- High visibility and a supportive approach to students prior to examinations leading to an increase in exam attendance more than 10% higher than last year
- The College’s Employability Programme is now widely embedded across the College in all study programs
- A strengthened approach to student assessment has ensured more students on the right course at the right level at the right time, significantly increasing retention, attendance and achievement
- Maintaining Nursery facilities, showing a real commitment to removing barriers for parents to continue their education
A continued emphasis on positive relationships with groups including MIND and The Virtual Schools
