Our further education courses (Entry to Level 3) are usually free if you are 16-18 years old. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for financial support to help with other costs associated with your course such as course materials and travel.
If you are aged 19 or over you may be required to pay fees.
If you are enrolling onto a Level 3 or 4 course and are over 19 years of age the fees may be higher and you will be required to take out an Advanced Learning Loan, please see the guide to fees for more information.

This course is for you if you are planning a career in Game design and production within the Creative Media Production & Technology. The programme been designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to access and progress to degree-level study and employment in the media sector.
The course will give you skills, understanding and knowledge of games design. You will critically engage with a rapidly changing and vibrant industry utilising traditional Art & Design skills, pre-production, concept design and research to directly inform the 2D/3D digital content creation. Video, digital animation and sound for computer games will also be studied. The structure of the qualifications, with units linked to provide coherence, allows students to synthesise newly acquired practical skills with theoretical knowledge and understanding as they explore their aptitude and ambition and the particular characteristics of a broad range of creative media disciplines with game design.
All students will be placed on the Diploma in year 1. Upon successful completion of year 1, students can progress to year 2 to gain the Extended Diploma.
You will also have the opportunity to take part in work experience for a week, which will enable you to develop your employability skills further.
For the Certificate/90 credit Diploma - 4 GCSEs grade A - C, including English and Maths. Students with full level 2 vocational qualifications with an overall Merit/Distinction will be considered alongside 2 GCSEs grade A - C including GCSE English and Maths, and a good reference.
You will need to pass all units from the 9 units from Year 1 and have a satisfactory reference in the first year in order to progress to year 2 for the Diploma/Extended Diploma.
You will be assessed through project work, written assignments, in class tests, presentations and observations.
The UAL Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology is included in the UCAS tariff. The majority of students progress to Degree or Higher National Certificate (HNC) courses. Alternatively, you can go straight into employment.
You will learn in dedicated classrooms and Media Studio labs with the latest software and equipment including 4K filming Equipment and software. You will have, on average, up to 16 hours of timetabled classes each week including a group tutorial with your personal tutor, who will support and encourage you throughout the duration of the course.
As part of the course employer visits and guest speakers will be arranged to enhance and contextualise your learning. This course is offered at our Ealing Green campus.
