West London College is proud to announce that our student, Aaron Palmer, is a finalist for the Association of Colleges (AoC) Apprentice of the Year Award 2023/24. Aaron is a Carpentry and Joinery apprentice, and he works for EE Smith Contracts Ltd, a high-end fit-out and joinery construction company.
The AoC Student of the Year Awards celebrates the exceptional achievements and dedication of students from over 200 colleges across the UK.
Aaron said: “I’m really proud of myself for being nominated. I’m hardworking and dedicated and I take a lot of pride in my work.”
Chris Larkin, Aaron’s Carpentry Teacher who nominated him for the award said: “I am so proud of Aaron Palmer’s outstanding achievement and wish him the best of luck as he proceeds to the next phase of the judging process.”
Enda Mulloy, Deputy Head of Construction said: “West London College is committed to creating the skilled construction professionals of our region.”
The Apprentice of the Year winner will be revealed at the AoC Conference dinner on 14 November. The award winners in a variety of categories will be invited to attend an exclusive celebration event in London in Spring 2024.
