West London College is delighted to announce that it has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in its latest inspection, which took place in May 2025. This positive outcome reflects the college’s dedication to its mission of ‘Aiming High, Changing Lives’ through high-quality education and skills training.
Ofsted found that the college makes a ‘Strong’ contribution to meeting skills needs, highlighting its work with the Greater London Authority, local education providers and businesses to develop the college’s strategic plan to ensure it is aligned to the needs of the local economy. They added that we have a “comprehensive understanding of skills shortages” and “respond very effectively,” mentioning the development of West London Retail Skills Hub in Westfield London to support retail and hospitality businesses.
The inspection report praises our many industry partnerships and work experience with professionals, giving students “a good understanding of the job roles they can access when they complete their courses.” The report also describes how we ensure students and apprentices “greatly value the new knowledge, skills and behaviours that they develop throughout their courses.”
Resonating with the college’s strategic value of ‘inclusion’, they added that “staff ensure the curriculum is accessible for learners, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities.”
Karen Redhead OBE, Principal and CEO of West London College, said: “We are delighted that Ofsted have recognised the work we do to support our learners, employers and communities. The result is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff, governors and stakeholders and we will work tirelessly to build on this success because our students deserve nothing less.”
