The aim of this qualification is to provide an overview of the domestic retrofit, and understanding of the knowledge and skills underpinning the basic principles of Retrofit. Understanding materials, risk assessment, method statements and on site assessments to ensure the right selection of materials are used, for the right project, in the right circumstances.
An interest in working in the building industry, some previous experience is helpful, being a 'hands-on' practical person is desirable to learn the skills required for the various jobs avaiable leading from this course.
Full engagement per week in class set projects, home study tasks and successful completion of end of course examination.

You will take part in classroom sessions where you will learn about the new requirements and legislation You will have the opportunity to discuss the subjects with your course tutor and peers, and receive full support to pass your end of course examination. You will also be offered an independent careers assessment, learn about other green skills qualifications and receive a preferential rate to sign up to any new course with WLC.
