Electrical Installation - Level 2

ABOUT THIS COURSE

This course is for ambitious candidates who wish to pursue a career in the electrical installation industry. This qualification can lead directly into employment, offering learners the chance to develop their skills and knowledge to a high standard recognised by the industry.

Units studied may include:

  • Working Safely & Effectively in an Electro-Technical Environment
  • Principle of Electro-Technology
  • Health & Safety
  • Electrical Principles & Electrical Installation (Building & Structures).
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

You will need:

  • an Electrical Installation Level 1 qualification.
  • Functional Skills Level 1 or above in English and maths
  • A current reference is also required. Alternatively, applicants who do not have the above qualifications must pass a pre-interview assessment at level 1 or above.
ASSESSMENT METHOD

City & Guilds On-line examination and practical assessments.

PROGRESSION OPPORTUNITIES

Progression to C&G 2365 Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation. Most successful candidates stay with us to take City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation, you can also have an opportunity to complete Construction Health & Safety course and Employers Rights and Responsibility (ERR) After completing this course candidates may be able to find employment as an electricians mate. Some successful candidates can move onto apprenticeships. Employers prefer candidates to complete the City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation as part of a complete qualification.

STUDY METHODS

You will learn the theory aspects of electricals within a class room environment. Practical elements of this course will take place within our workshops. These will prepare you for the exams and assessments as part of the qualification.

FEES

If you will be aged 16 to 18 on 31 August in the year you begin your studies and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course will be free.
