Electrical Installation - Level 3

ABOUT THIS COURSE

The Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Electrical Installation is for learners who are interested in developing the specific technical and professional skill that will lead to meaningful employment in the electrotechnical industry.

You will learn about topics including understanding the fundamental principles and requirements of environmental technology systems; principles of electrical science; electrical installation, fault diagnosis and rectification; electrical installations, inspect, testing and commissioning.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

You will need:

  • an Electrical Installation Level 2 qualification
  • Functional Skills Level 2 or above in Englishand maths
  • a real desire and enthusiasm to learn this trade within the construction industry
ASSESSMENT METHOD

Your course work will be assessed by a combination of City & Guilds online multiple-choice exams and observed assessments of your practical work by a qualified assessor as well as written assignments. You will be given help to prepare for all assessments and tests.

PROGRESSION OPPORTUNITIES

Successful completion of this course could lead to a higher level apprenticeship; attending a Construction Supervisor course or the Certificate in Professional Construction Practice.

STUDY METHODS

A mixture of theory and practical tasks some of which will be delivered through online learning.

FEES

If you will be aged 16 to 18 on 31 August in the year you begin your studies and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course will be free.
