This single unit qualification is designed for learners to learn about the principles of computer programming to understand how programming works. They will develop text-based programming skills to design and develop their own computer program.
Successful completion of an interview and entry test.
No previous formal qualifications are required, but learners will need to have basic digital skills.
Learners are required to produce a portfolio of evidence.
Students who achieve this qualification and progress to higher level IT study could progress to a range of careers in the IT and Digital Industries.
On-site, in-class study.
Learners will be taught by an IT specialist lecturer, in PC suites equipped with all required software applications.
The classes will include both theory and practical work allowing learners to learn and develop a broad range of cybersecurity-related skills.
