This course covers a wide range of mental health problems that can affect men, including depression, stress, anxiety and PTSD. Since 2009, the number of men who have suicidal thoughts has doubled, and while men are now more likely to see a therapist than ever before, there is still work to be done to properly support men experiencing mental health problems.
The course will cover the signs, symptoms and triggers of poor mental health, as well as the differences in how some mental health conditions present themselves in men.
You will need to be:
- aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you wish to study
